Anagomeshi is a rice bowl dish made from rice mixed with tare sauce and topped with locally caught grilled conger eel. Originally a Setouchi regional fisherman's dish, it is now a specialty of Miyajima. Upon exiting Miyajimaguchi station, a saucy aroma wafts through the air and whets your appetite. This color represents the layers of sauce coated on the eel as it is grilled.
