Omas Ogiva 222 Fountain Pen Blue Saffron Limited Edition

Omas Ogiva 222 Limited Edition is the first fountain pen with the brand relaunch. After some years without production, the trademark Omas was bought by Unibrand Corporation (know for Nahvalur pens) that with the help of Mr. Emmanuel Caltagirone are going to revive Omas adhere to its original qualities and continue carrying on top of the Italian manufacturing tradition.

Mr. Emmanuel Caltagirone acquired Omas assets in 2017 so the "new" Omas actually have a good stock of great materials like "old" Omas celluloid and nib units. The Omas now are made in Naples, Italy.

For the first edition, Omas selected one of the rarest materials from original Omas stock: Blue Saffron celluloid. Using the original Blue saffron material, Omas has made 222 pieces to commemorate February 22nd 2022 when the idea of reviving Omas started. They selected an Ogiva model to pair with this memorizing material. Ogiva (an Italian word) means the top of an arch. It represents the high hope for this pen and Omas to be the leader of fine writing instruments again.

Continuing the Italian writing instrument tradition, Omas Ogiva 222 is handmade in Naples Italy and fitted with an 18k original Omas gold nib. Each pen is individually marked with serial numbers out of 222 engraving on the barrel. Omas Ogiva 222 features a piston filler with a a separate ink reservoir so that the ink will not be in direct contact with the Blue Saffron celluloid.
