As Richard Esterbrook was setting up shop in the 1850’s in Camden, perhaps the greatest book about the sea ever written was in its first printing: Moby Dick. The spirit of sea has been described by many writers with wonderful and exciting words.
Esterbrook Estie Oversized Aqua shows all these words and experiences with a fountain pen made in a luminous resin that evokes the mother of pearl of shells and the deep waters. Estie Oversized Aqua is a limited edition and will disappear as swiftly as the tide.
Clean and vintage-inspired design with a ringless cap and without any metallic parts. Esterbrook Estie is a comfortable and well balanced fountain pen with a cushion cap closure that provides a secondary seal to ensure a wet point. Esterbrook Oversized is the big size of the series.
Take a look at Esterbrook Custom Nib Program and try "Journaler" e "Scribe" nib sizes. The first one is hand worked by Gena Salorino, an american nib master. In her own words, the custom nib Gena is grinding for Esterbrook is a “medium stub grind, based on the vintage Esterbrook 9314M nib. The idea is that it’s smooth and friendly enough for everyday use, gives your writing some flair, all without being too huge for practical writing”.
"Scribe" is made by the New Yorker Josh Lax and it's his version of architect nib. Gets inspired by the Near East architect nibs, less common than architect nibs based on European and Far Eastern styles of writing. It gives the writer the flexibility of fine downstrokes and broad horizontal strokes and can also be used in reverse for additional variation.
