Hobonichi Techo Original A6 Hedelmäpuu features a design by the textile designer and illustrator Eri Shimatsuka, who lives in Finland.
Her designs evoke the warm, gentle view toward nature that comes from spending everyday life amid Finland’s lush greenery. Hedelmäpuu is Finnish for “fruit tree,” and a fruit tree filled with fruits and nuts is the centerpiece of this design.
The first thing that pops out on this design is the cute array of fruits in green, pink, and orange. The grapes and small tree nuts are also so filled out that they seem like they could fall off the tree at any moment. The effect is fun and lively, creating a cover that exudes the feeling of the life force of trees.
The illustration is printed on a canvas fabric whose natural coloring evokes the gentleness of nature.
Do you want to know more about the planner inside?
Starting from this year, you are able to choose your favorite language for the 2023 planner included in this set. It comes in Japanese (called Hobonichi Techo Original) or English (called Hobonichi Techo Planner) languages and you also find an image to see the differences.
Its daily pages offer plenty of space to fill despite the book’s compact A6 size. The graph paper offers an open layout for you to neatly lay out writings, clippings, and drawings. The daily quotes also provide users with interesting reading material.
The thin, light paper, called Tomoe River paper, is strong, resistant to bleeding, and allows ink to dispense smoothly across the paper, an ideal choice for a planner. A special stitch-binding allows the planner to lay completely flat without having to hold it down.
The daily planner starts from January 2023 and ends in December 2023.
